 R users are more likely to share their codes online, while Stata users are less likely to do that. 

Students of Stata either rely on their advisors' do files or on the replication files in Harvard dataverse or UCLA Statistical Consulting Group. Well, Stata does publish books about the usage of individual commands, but it is as thick as a brick.
