引用、參考文獻的一些特殊用詞

 在英文學術寫作中，我們會經常看到一些特殊用詞和簡稱，以下羅列幾個較常見的用詞:

i.e. =equals to

e.g. =for example

cf. =but compare this to 通常表明"這學者有相反的觀點"，較常用在文內夾註

e.g. Empirical evidence from comparative politics literature has indicated that a dynastic candidate receives an electoral advantage over non-dynastic candidates. (c.f. Geys 2017)

ibid. = in the same place 指稱上一條參考文獻，同一本書但不同頁數；通常放在註腳，僅用在你連續的引用同一本書的情形下。

Mimeo:指稱 an unpublished academic paper

e.g. Van-Coppenolle, Brenda (2015). “Inheriting Political Success.” Mimeo.
